Account Hierarchy
Configure parent accounts, sub-clients, and product-level rules independently, so aggregators and multi-programme operators can manage each business line without touching another.
One auditable source of truth for every account, balance and transaction, giving you control and visibility to run complex card products.
Every programme needs a foundation it can trust. The real-time system of record gives you that foundation, a live, accurate view of every balance, every movement, every account, updated as transactions happen.
Real-time balances across every account and instrument
Full traceability and auditability for compliance and control
One source of truth shared across markets and products
Deeper account visibility for smarter programme decisions
When you can see what is happening in your programme as it happens, you stop reacting and start managing.
Configure parent accounts, sub-clients, and product-level rules independently, so aggregators and multi-programme operators can manage each business line without touching another.
Track and manage balances in real time across multiple funding sources, instruments, and currencies, with full visibility at every level of the account structure.
Set spending limits, merchant category restrictions, and authorisation rules at the product account level, giving programme managers granular control without custom engineering.
Attach multiple instruments to a single account, so one account holder can access their funds through physical cards, virtual cards, or tokenised digital wallets.
Access the system of record through dedicated API endpoints that sit within the Thredd platform, and adopt capabilities independently as your programme requires them.
Most processors use monolithic platforms where changing anything means changing everything. Thredd is built differently.
Give each sub-client independent account controls, spending rules, and visibility, without those changes affecting any other programme on your platform.
Manage multi-currency balances and multiple instruments per account holder, with real-time visibility across regions and merchant categories.
Set differentiated limits and controls per cardholder within a single account structure, so parents see spending while children spend within boundaries.
Hold, manage, and move funds across one or more accounts with real-time balance updates, the foundation for current accounts, savings pots, and spending products.
Provide BIN sponsors with the account-level visibility and programme control they require, with traceability and auditability built into the platform, not bolted on.
Power card programmes that sit within a partner's product experience, with account structures and controls that remain invisible to the end user.
It is the core component of the Thredd platform that records and manages every account, balance, and transaction in real time. It replaces batch-based reconciliation with a live, auditable view of programme activity — covering account hierarchy, balance management, and transaction controls.
A traditional ledger records credits and debits. The Thredd real-time system of record goes further — it includes the account hierarchy, product-level rules, and control configurations that sit around those balances. It is the controls and the structure, not just the numbers.
The system of record supports balances held in multiple currencies within the same account structure. Advanced capabilities such as automated FX conversion and first-in funding prioritisation are on our roadmap and targeted for later in 2026.
Yes. The system of record underpins both debit and credit products within the Thredd platform. Credit programmes leverage the system of record alongside origination and servicing capabilities provided through our credit partnership.
No. For existing clients, the system of record is deployed behind the scenes. As new capabilities become available, you may choose to integrate with new API endpoints to access them — but we will not force a migration on your existing programme.
You can configure parent-child relationships where each sub-client has independent rules, limits, and controls. Changes at one level do not affect other programmes on the platform — which means aggregators can onboard and manage their clients without custom engineering.
